VP Operations - Digital Solutions


The VP Operations leads the day-to-day operations of Xeikon – assembly (press) and process (toner) production - to support the growth and add to the bottom line of an organization with a focus on strategic planning and goal-setting, and directs the operations of the company in support of its goals. By measuring progress and adjusting processes accordingly, the VP Operations keeps the entire Supply Chain on track (Production & Logistics, Procurement).

Main responsibilities

Plan, direct and coordinate operations in support of the company’s growth. Formulating policies and strategic plans for future growth, and managing daily operations purchasing and other departments.

Direct the company's manufacturing activities to ensure that maximum effectiveness is obtained for the production of quality products within specified time and budgetary guidelines.

Accountable to ensure both manufactured and sourced products meet or exceed customer quality standards and required delivery schedules are met.

Directs manufacturing engineering efforts to ensure company facilities and equipment are adequately designed, built and maintained. The emphasis will be on robust equipment/processes utilizing poka yoke techniques and quick change over. Likewise, create strategies to reduce labor cost, reduce scrap, and ensure a product free of defects.

Lead the safety and sustainability activities for the company

Oversee companywide procurement activities. Direct the negotiations of major procurement contracts to provide proper cost, delivery and quality commitments.

Provide leadership in continuous improvement activities and successfully enable scalability to achieve our goals of meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Develop and provide suppliers with forecasts that achieve reasonable predictability of future customer requirements to enable suppliers to operate efficient production processes and enable informed production capacity decisions.

Create and implement new logistics models and processes that will drive all hardware product capabilities to benchmark levels (industry best practices) and meet current and future customer needs on a global basis.

Lead the development and implementation of policies, plans and practices regarding product supply/demand and delivery and authorize the implementation of strategy and policies.

Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and systems.

Translate the company’s strategic plans into defined operational plans.

Implement lean management procedures to minimalize stock holding and free up working capital.


People Management & Organization

Lead a competent and efficient team by selecting, developing and coaching team members and setting an example as a leader.

Set individual targets for his/her direct reports, appraise their performance and provide them with sound feedback.

Adopt an open and fair management style in combination with an intense two-way communication with all employees.

Ensure staff members receive timely feedback and appropriate training and development.

Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.

Implement  the Talent & Capability Review and Succession planning processes.



Reports to: the President of Digital Solutions Division within Flint Group.

Positioning: in Executive Management Team of the Digital division

Autonomy: is responsible for the strategic decisions and develops a long term vision. 

Budgetary impact:  direct P&L responsibility.


Knowledge and skills


Extensive experience in delivering multiple complex system level products, preferably in a “metal assembly manufacturing” environment .

Extensive experience in cost negotiations.

Prior experience in outsourced models for manufacturing and global fulfillment requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience).

Master degree in Engineering discipline.

Candidate will exhibit characteristics of a leader who is determined, result oriented and persuasive.

10+ years of experience managing teams is required.

10+ years of experience in global manufacturing leadership position strongly preferred.

Ability to lead and mentor staff to achieve significant results.

Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organization levels.

Possess high professional ethics, good judgment, and ability to take decisive action. Fluent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of SAP, Lean management and Six Sigma
