• In 1965 BASF launches the alcohol-washable nyloprint® plate, which becomes a synonym for photopolymer letterpress plate.
• In 1978 BASF introduces the photopolymer flexo printing plates: nyloflex®
• In 1988 the first ever chlorine-free washout solution for flexo platemaking was introduced: nylosolv®
• In 1993: The first rotec® sleeve-on-sleeve mounting system paved the way for adapter technology.
• In 1995 the first photopolymer digital flexo plate digiflex® was launched. Five years later digital flexo plates are available as nyloflex® Digital.
• In 1998 the water-washable nyloflex® Sprint was developed.
• In 2001 nyloflex® ACE, a hard durometer plate sets quality standards in flexo printing.
• In 2003 the first ever digital letterpress printing plate nyloprint® WF 80 H Digital was developed and launched.
• In 2004 the rotec® Omega technology for full sleeve surface conductivity was introduced. The rotec® Atlas Adapter with carbon fibre structure for highest printing performance enters the market. nyloflex® infinity technology for manufacturing seamless polymer sleeves was introduced at drupa.
• In 2005 the first digital plate on aluminium base for print finishing was launched: the nyloflex® Gold A Digital.
• In 2008 Flint Group Flexographic Products launches endless photopolymer sleeves nyloflex® ITR Thin and nyloflex® ITR Classic. And the nyloflex® Seal F Digital – the first photopolymer coating plate based on polyester foil for digital imaging – was introduced.
• In 2009 the first ever digital gravure printing plate nyloprint® WSA 52 Digital enters the market. And nyloflex® FSC, the softest solid printing plate of the corrugated market was developed.
• In 2010 an automation and standardisation printing plate processing line nyloflex® Automated Plate Processor was launched. And the nyloflex® NExT exposure technology – the smart solution to create Flat Top Dots and for surface screening – was launched.
• In 2012 was the market launch of the new nyloflex® ACE plate – the new benchmark in flexographic printing.
• In 2014 the nyloflex® NEF Digital, especially developed for the nyloflex® NExT technology was introduced.
• In 2015 the first ever plate with inherently flat top dots and surface screening, the nyloflex® FTF Digital was launched – the easy way for flat top dots and surface screening. It was awarded with the FTA innovation award.
• In 2016 the FlexoExpert certification programme for nyloflex® plate maker started. And the nyloflex® Xpress Thermal Processing System was launched first in North America afterwards in ROW.
• In 2017 the rotec® Eco Bridge that improves the ease and speed of mounting plate sleeves was announced, as well as rotec® Smart and rotec® Smart Premium. Later on rotec® Ultra-Lightweigt Bridge entered the market. nyloflex® FTC Digital a Flat Top Dot plate for corrugated board found the ways into the portfolio.
