During drupa Flint Group held prize draws for three latest generation iPads
 
 
drupa 2012 in Düsseldorf, and Flint Group opened up the “Schrebergarten” once again. Guests to the garden venue, just five minutes walk from the fair, were spoiled for choice with crunchy grilled specialities and delicacies from all over the world. About 2,500 visitors took the opportunity to chill out and relax in a pleasant and laid-back atmosphere with personal, as well as professional discussions, after a stressful day at the fair. A special highlight was the draw for a third generation iPad on three separate evenings.
 
One iPad 3 was awarded to Joerg Zaegelein, Quality Management Verlag Nuernberger Presse. This publishing company has been highly successful in the market for many years, and since changing to coldset printing in 2002, they have received numerous awards from the international Newspaper Colour Quality Club (INCQC) as one of the best newspaper printing plants in the world. The INCQC, the only global quality printing competition for newspapers, has its focus on the improvement of reproduction and print quality. “Verlag Nuernberger Presse and Flint Group have enjoyed an excellent working relationship for decades now”, says Bernd Blessing, Sales Manager Flint Group Print Media Europe, “therefore we are really pleased that Verlag Nuernberger Presse is one of the lucky winners.”

Second winner of the award was Thomas Fuchs , operations project manager at Mondi Industrial Bags in Vienna. Mondi is a leading paper and packing group, which is represented in 28 countries globally and employs about 23,400 people. The company operates out of two geographical divisions, Mondi Europe & International, and Mondi South Africa, which deliver customers all over the world with products ranging from office paper, corrugated and kraft paper to industrial bags. From Vienna, Mondi Bags Austria serves the Austrian market mainly with packaging products for the cement and building materials industry. During the last few years they have received numerous awards for their innovative packaging solutions. Mondi and Flint Group Flexographic Products have also enjoyed an excellent and close working relationship for many years. Thomas Isselhard, Director Sales Development & OEM/Sleeves Flint Group Flexographic Products, explains:” In both the printing plates and the sleeves area, Mondi and Flint Group run many joint projects which help to optimise quality and internal processes. We have been able to achieve several successes for both partners.”

The third iPad went to Om Dutt Sharma from Prakash in India leading manufacturers of web presses to the Indian market.
