Flint Group Presents Comprehensive Solutions at SuperCorrExpo 2012

Visit Booth# 3100 to see the latest innovations in corrugated printing!

A pioneer in the flexographic printing industry, Flint Group offers expertise in a complete range of products from flexographic printing plates, plate processing equipment, cutting mats and ink systems designed specifically for corrugated printing.   Come and see how Flint Group thinks outside the box in bringing these innovations to market in both the prepress and press room technologies.

Flint Group Flexographic Products will present the following product advancements:

  • The broadest selection of photopolymer printing plates developed for all types of corrugated post printing from low cost and recycled liners to high quality boards. With hardnesses ranging from 26 to 40 Shore A, nyloflex® printing plates demonstrate superior print quality and excellent ink transfer, for reduced fluting in solid areas on virtually all types of corrugated boards. nyloflex® FSC, the softest plate in the nyloflex® series, is especially suitable for low cost liners and as an alternative to liquid photopolymer.
  • nyloflex® NExT exposure technology utilizes high intensity LEDs to create a flat top dot structure on the printing plate, which when used in combination with fine surface screening patterns, allows for improvements with ink transfer.   The new exposure technology provides improvements in reducing fluting in screened areas.   No additional consumable items such as inert gas or film laminates are required.
  • nyloflex® Automated Plate Processor (APP) for complete automation in washing, drying and light finishing of photopolymer printing plates.   The new system features a special washer with digital layer separation, horizontal transfer of the plate (no flipping or hanging in the processor), transparent panels on the side for easy visual inspection, easy access side panels for maintenance, and a viscosity control device, which results in reduced solvent consumption.   This highly efficient and user-friendly equipment produces plates in approximately 40% less time than conventional plate processors.

“We have seen tremendous advancements in the plate room with the first installations of the nyloflex® APP equipment” exclaims Rich Emmerling, Flint Group Flexographic Products Technical Manager.   “Our customers are able to make more consistent plates in a shorter time, with less waste, and this also helps them meet their sustainability requirements”, continues Emmerling.   “We are excited to be the company that brings this new innovation to market.”
