Newsline 435 demonstrates excellent versatility -- a newspaper fount that also works extremely well on heatset inks. It is a FOGRA-approved mild acid fount that can be used for high quality heatset printing. This makes it ideal for dual-purpose printing sites that pre-print their own heatset inserts as well as the daily newspaper, because the same fount may be used on both types of machine.

It incorporates dynamic surface tension properties, which has enabled Varn to give back to the printer the latitude he had with alcohol, without any environmental risks. It uses advanced new Varn buffer technology that stops calcium from paper and ink building up in the dampening system, and on rollers and blankets. Varn Superspeed AC has a wetting system that reduces feedback of emulsified ink on the dampening rollers, allowing more consistent control of ink / water balance.
