Flint Group showcases high quality solutions for flexo printing at ProFlex, stand #39
March 04-05, University of Media in Stuttgart, stand #39 – the place to be for sustainable innovations in flexo printing. Flint Group is proud to not only exhibit at the DFTA symposium but to also act again as a sponsor of the DFTA award, honouring outstanding print results for packaging products. Visitors are invited to meet with Flint Group’s experts and discuss sustainable innovations that set benchmarks.
Flint Group Flexographic Products will provide an update on flat top dot technologies and the nyloflex® NExT technology. This exposure technology utilises a high intensity UV-A LED light source to conduct rapid cross-linking of the photopolymer surface before oxygen inhibition can occur, resulting in a virtual 1:1 image reproduction from the digital file to the finished plate. In flexible packaging, printing plates exposed with this technology allow excellent ink transfer, particularly in solids. Especially in corrugated printing, fluting will be considerably reduced.
The nyloflex® NEF Digital printing plate has been specifically designed for the efficient creation of flat top dots and the excellent reproduction of surface screenings. The printing plate shows an outstanding quality in the highlight areas. It allows for a reduced bump-up, hence increasing the image contrast. The ink lay-down can be significantly improved and a high solid ink density can be achieved when surface screens are applied. The result is a brilliant print performance on film, foil and coated paper substrates. Compared with conventional plates, exposure times are considerably shorter.
Flint Group Packaging and Narrow Web presents PVC-free solutions for flexible packaging. VarioLam, the PU-based ink system for high performance lamination printing, including retort applications, for laminations with both solvent-based and solvent-free adhesives is free of PVB, NC and monomeric plasticizer. TopCoat HSL, a heatseal lacquer for aluminium and PreCoat FMET P13, the recently introduced primer for metallised films and AlOx coated polyester, offer sustainable innovations for today and for the future.
Flint Group’s experts further offer the latest developments in water-based technology for print on film: Premo®Film SXS for surface print on polyolefin films and Premo®Lam SXL for lamination application. The VOC-free ink systems were developed to meet the increased demand for “greener” / sustainable packaging solutions and are aimed at customers interested in products in line with the latest and future regulations concerning the printing of packaging and its recycling.
